Do you have a toddler who has a hard time sitting by themself when you're in public place? Well, i do have. My daughter is 2.5 years old. She is so curious, adventurous and a little explorer. When we go out for dinner, she wanted to roam around, go ro each table and will explore all the possible places. Also, she has a hard time sitting down with us, so what we usually do is give her my phone to watch Paw Patrol or the Backyardigans. She will behave for hours. But then, we don't want her to be so depended in using cellphone so i had to think of other ways.
Good thing, I found this mommy hack in pinterest. In which, this mommy bought a tin container to put small toys, activities and magnets to for her child to play with during dinner in restaurants or in plane rides. We've tried it too. I was able to buy a $5 tin lunchbox in Bianca Amor. And I put some alphabet magnets, some papers, some markers, her Elsa purse and some stickers. Last Friday, we put it to test.
We dined in a sushi buffet. As usual, Emma is being her usual self, wanted to explore the whole restaurant. So we put out her tin lunchbox. I chose Paw Patrol design because she's really into this show. And when she opened it, she said "wow!". She got so excited to play with her stickers and markers. She didn't touch her Elsa purse nor the magnets. She only played with markers, stickers and she recited some words in her flashcards. We were able to sit and enjoy our dinner for an hour without Emma running around.
She also eat dinner with us.
This hack really works! Maybe you could give this a try.
